Vines were first planted at Scotchmans Hill in 1982, establishing the second operating vineyard on the Bellarine Peninsula within modern times. Marlborough would be the natural extension of Scotchman Hills endeavours at Sauvignon Blanc. Hand selected parcels from good vineyards are inoculated and vinified cool in controlled fermenters to retain maximum freshness, then treated to a term on gross lees to enhance complexity and develop fine textures.
