 Wildwood
Located in the cool, dry Sunbury region, Wildwood have been quietly crafting wines of elegance and balance since 1983
In the heart of the Oaklands Valley lies Melbourne's closest winery - Wildwood. There are few wineries in the world which can claim to have a large metropolis virtually on their boundary. Located just 4km north of the Melbourne Airport, off the Tullamarine Freeway, the vineyard stands at an elevation of 132m, allowing for panoramic views of the Melbourne skyline and out to the Mornington Peninsula. As the southernmost part of the Sunbury region, we experience a cool, dry climate, lying in the shadows of Mt. Macedon. History records that great wines were made in this area from the early 1800s.

 Virgin Hills
It is a wonder that Virgin Hills exists at all. It certainly should never have become what some of Australia's most respected wine critics have nominated as their desert island wine
Virgin Hills was the creation of eccentric Hungarian Australian sculptor restaurateur Tom Lazar. Arriving from Paris in the mid 1960s, he found a new country with a food and wine industry, very different to the one we know today. Lazar was determined to change all that. He established the renowned Little Reata restaurant in Melbourne. Then in 1968, came his grand vision of Virgin Hills. Inspired, he bought 300 acres of rugged bushland high in the Macedon Ranges. Lazar saw an opportunity to expose Australian palates to something very different; black cherries. After laborious clearing, the soil revealed itself to be quite poor for the purpose. Swiftly, Lazar had another grand vision.

 Taltarni
Taltarni is one of the earliest vineyard sites in the Pyrenees, originally planted to the classic varietals, immediately establishing a reputation for impressive robust reds and premium quality sparkling wines

Today, the Taltarni Estate's fundamental philosophy is to produce distinctive, well-balanced premium varietal wines with recognizable regionality and estate styling.

 Curly Flat
Phillip Moraghan was so captivated by the wines of France and Switzerland, so enthralled by Burgundy and its Pinot Noir, that he was inspired to establish Curly Flat Vineyard
Fortunately for Moraghan, his partner Jeni shared the vision that has brought together the dedicated team to nuture Curly Flat from a romantic ideal to awesome reality. Pursuit of the dream and a cool climate suited to Pinot Noir, brought Phillip and Jeni to Lancefield in the Macedon Ranges near Melbourne. The high altitude region is ideally suited to wine growing, with well drained volcanic soils and moderate rainfall. Curly Flat is located on a slope that catches the very last rays of sunshine in the magical moments before dusk. This prolonged exposure to the Autumn sun provides a vital ingredient for the very special fruit that is produced at Curly Flat. To build expertise Jeni and Phillip volunteered their labour in other vineyards and wineries - but it was Macedon Ranges pioneer, Laurie Williams (Flynn & Williams label), who nurtured their understanding and passion for growing wine.

 Bress
The winemaking team at Bress subscribe to a number of fundamental philosophies that underpin what it is they do and how it is done
Firstly, to farm in a sustainable manner that is environmentally sound. At Bress this is achieved by using Biodynamic farming practices: Biodynamic farming was developed in the mid 1920s by Rudolph Steiner and advocates the non use of synthetic herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers. Rather than using these products, composting and mulching are used on the farm to build up soil organic matter, which improves soil moisture retention. Natural biodynamic preparations500 through to 508 are used to improve soil vitality and plant health.
