Hand picked grapes off the estate Home Block on the eastern ridge of Barossa Valley, the frugal vines yield a meagre harvest of small berries exhibiting the most amazing concentration. Bunches are destemmed to fermenters and cold soaked for the magic of wild yeasts, several days of cool vinification are treated to hand plunges and rack returns until completely sugar dry. A good old fashioned basket press and ten weeks of malolactic are followed by twenty four months of age.
