Founded in 1776, Maison Louis Roederer remains one of the very rare family owned Houses of Champagne. For two centuries, five succeeding generations have been inspired by the same concern for quality. Today, Jean-Claude Rouzaud, a trained oenologist and grandson of Madame Camille Olry-Roederer, presides over the destiny of the famous company in Reims and guides its development. Louis Roederer's fundamental advantage lies in its superb 190-hectare vineyard which, on average, rates 97.5% on the official classification scale.

Louis Roederer is driven by a commitment to quality that takes precedence over quantity. Premiere Brut is dominated by the slightly larger component of Pinot Noir, finessed by the inclusion of the most superlative Chardonnay, enhanced by a tenth proportion of Pinot Meunier. Louis Roederer collates Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Valley de la Marne, with Chardonnay from the Cotes des Blanc. An assemblage of wines from a minimum of four different vintages, matured in bottle for a minimum of three years, Brut Premier includes up to 10% of Reserve wines - Cuvees from previous vintages stored for two to five years in large oak casks.
