The Royal Navy was renowned for its daily ration of grog and refreshments of Rum before and during battle. Pusser is shipboard slang for
purser, the officer in charge of administering the Crown's treat. The original recipe called on a blend of five West Indies Rums, curiously it was fashioned to taste somewhat like a Whisky to please the palates of English and Scottish sailors. Often referred to as the
Single Malt of Rums, royalties from every bottle of Pusser's go to the Royal Navy Sailor's Fund. To this very day, the original Admiralty Rum.
