A unique blend of location and ingredients, timing and people. Nestled off the west coast of Scotland, Island of Mull is a special place, just as Tobermory is a unique distillery and the people who make Tobermory Malt are artisans of their craft. Established in 1798, Tobermory is the only Distillery on the Island of Mull and one of the oldest commercial Distilleries in Scotland. It's old world charm reflects the Tobermory spirit to do things in the old fashioned way, completely by hand.
Each drop of the rare and non chill filtered limited release Tobermory 15 Years Island of Mull Malt has been perfected through a dual location maturation process. First transferring the spirit into gloriously refined Gonzalez Byass Oloroso Sherry casks and then moving each cask from the mainland, where the Whisky develops, back to the island for its final undisturbed year. Like everything about this gem of a Malt Whisky, this is a dram to be treasured. Tobermory's natural colour and high strength of 46.3% ensure that the essence of Tobermory authenticity is encapsulated in every bottle
TASTING NOTES
A tantalising natural colour of golden chestnuts. A lovely sherried nose with notes of fig, orange marmalade, hints of leather and a touch of smoke. Medium to full bodied. Rich sherry fruit cake, milk chocolate, creamy toffee, light oak, a hint of white pepper creating a lovely spicy tang. Softly spicy, tingling with a nutty note, a hint of salt, lingering then gently fades
