Enter Moët Chandon Ice Imperial, the first and only Champagne especially created to be enjoyed over ice, a style distinguished by its bright fruitiness, seductive palate and elegant maturity. The quality of wine behind Moët Chandon is due in no small part to the richness and diversity of the estate's truly fabulous Champagne vineyards, made up almost exclusively of Premiers and Grands Crus. Pour over three ice cubes, in a large Cabernet style glass, to indulge in a glass of Moët Ice Imperial is to countenance the most decadent pleasure. Whilst the story of Moet Chandon dates back to the middle ages, it was not until an association with the Emperor Napoleon that Jean-Remy Moët became the most famous winemaker in the world. The wines assembled into Moët Ice Imperial have been meticulously appointed. A cepage of half Pinot Noir, winey and angular, is selected for its intense fruitiness and structure, which integrates the dosage. A slightly smaller component of Pinot Meunier is chosen for its full and fleshy, rich, melting sensation on the mid-palate. A tenth of Chardonnay is included for a refreshing finish. A large proportion of reserve wines enhance the assemblage to complete its elegance, richness and intensity.
TASTING NOTESDensely coloured, deep gold, amber highlights. An intense, fruity bouquet, the powerful aroma of tropical fruits, guava and mango, the sumptuousness of stonefruits, nectarine and raspberry notes. A generous palate combining roundness and freshness, the broad, fleshy, voluptuous flavours. Moët Ice Imperial can be mixed with ingredients which heighten the sensations. |
