The two de rigueur varietals of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, fashioned into a sensational sparkler, brimming with the balance, generosity and style for which all Wolf Blass wines are so well renowned. At the heart of everything Wolf Blass is an expansive inventory of the nation's finest vineyards, splendid sites which can deliver a bounty of harvests from which to assemble the most satisfying effervescent wines. The perfect sparkler for suppers and soirée, a bliss alongside warm fruit desserts and your favourite rendition of the timeless Tarte tatin.
When Wolfgang Blass initially embarked on his historical Australian adventure, he was essentially a white wine specialist who handled the vinification of all other styles in the same dedicated manner. Drinkability has always been the primary focus of the Wolf Blass team, ensuring a satisfying experience in drinking pleasure, through the synergy between quality of fruit and skill in the art of winemaking. Red Label Pinot Chardonnay is crafted to techniques which would be familiar to the great Methode Traditionelle estates of the old world. Vinification on gross lees and a course of bottle riddling, the ultimate disgorgement and liqueur doseage, reseal and secondary ferment in bottle to achieve the finest textural mousse.
TASTING NOTES
Light straw hues, an excellent mousse. Big bouquet of fresh autumn harvest fruit, biscuit and bakery characters, creamy nougat and yeast notes. A long fine palate, layered with green apple flavours, the strawberries and cherry of Pinot Noir, a creamy, textural richness complemented lively acidity. Serve as the perect aperitif or alongside smart canapes.

More About Wolf Blass Wines
The Wolf Blass winery is located at the epicentre of the Australian wine industry, the Barossa Valley and has produced some of Australia's finest wines since 1966
Wolf Blass Wines International was born in 1973 when Wolf started his own business, purchasing a 2.5 acre land holding with an old army shed outside Nuriootpa, at the northern end of the Barossa Valley. John Glaetzer joined the company and from 1974-1976 Wolf Blass Wines won three consecutive Jimmy Watson Trophies, the Black Label generated substantial publicity and hype. From this time onwards growth was impressive with Wolf Blass Yellow Label and Riesling becoming Australia's top selling red and white wine. Wolf Blass»
