An equitable balance of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, in the distinctively Australian style of forward drinking white. Crafted by Australia's favourite winemaker, Red Label displays the same excellence of nose and palate which has become the hallmark of Wolf Blass. Generous with varietal fruit flavours, the Semillon contributes down to earth characters of minerality and flint, Sauvignon Blanc adds passionfruit and herbaceousness. Red Label is fresh, fruity and clean with a subtle hint of spice before a most pleasant, lingering finish.
The essential blend of crisp white varietal grapes, vinified from the finest Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc available to Wolf Blass. The wine's journey begins in the vineyard where careful canopy management, including summer pruning and fastidious pest and disease controls are conducted throughout the growing season to ensure grapes remain healthy and are evenly exposed to sunlight. Vineyards are harvested throughout the cool of night to capture and retain vibrant fruit flavours and crisp acidity. Each component is pressed and separately vinified in temperature controlled fermenters. Upon completion, parcels are assessed for inclusion, assembled and bottled early to retain freshness. Alcohol 12.5%
TASTING NOTES
Pale straw with green hue. A lifted nose of lemon and freshly cut grass complement tropical characters of passionfruit and gooseberry. Light to medium bodied with crisp fruit flavours, ripe citrus and passionfruit nuances. In perfect balance, Semillon's citrus and honeyed notes fitting well with Sauvignon's vibrant tropical flavours and leafy influence. The finish is clean and crisp with cleansing acidity, adding length to the palate.

About Wolf Blass Winery
The Wolf Blass winery is located at the epicentre of the Australian wine industry, the Barossa Valley and has produced some of Australia's finest wines since 1966
Wolf Blass Wines International was born in 1973 when Wolf started his own business, purchasing a 2.5 acre land holding with an old army shed outside Nuriootpa, at the northern end of the Barossa Valley. John Glaetzer joined the company and from 1974-1976 Wolf Blass Wines won three consecutive Jimmy Watson Trophies, the Black Label generated substantial publicity and hype. From this time onwards growth was impressive with Wolf Blass Yellow Label and Riesling becoming Australia's top selling red and white wine. Wolf Blass»
