 Vidal Estate
Vidal Estate winery is situated on the original site in Hastings on Hawkes Bay, established by Anthony Joseph Vidal 1905
Hot summer days, a long growing season and free draining soils have helped Hawke’s Bay become one of the premier wine regions in New Zealand. Anthony Joseph Vidal was one of the first winemakers to appreciate the natural potential of the area. He established Vidal Estate in 1905 and his spirit of adventure coupled with a lifelong commitment to crafting classic, elegant wines remains an inspiration to this day. He was 22 years old when he arrived in New Zealand from Spain in 1888. His first eleven years were spent in Wanganui, working for his uncle, pioneer winemaker Joseph Soler. He then moved to Hawkes Bay where in 1905 he purchased a small property in Hastings.

Not content to rest on its laurels, Te Mata has also developed a unique single vineyard from which it produces its Woodthorpe and Rymer’s Change wines.

 Oyster Bay
From its very first vintage, which won gold and the coveted Marquis de Goulaine Trophy for Best Sauvignon Blanc at the 22nd International Wine & Spirit Competition in London 1991, Oyster Bay has continued to define the very essence of Marlborough
Set in the alluvial heart of Marlborough, one of the world's most recognised wine-growing regions and a place as beautiful as it is abundant, you will find the vineyards that grew the reputation of Oyster Bay. Here, on the shallow stony soils of the tranquil Wairau Plains, where long, slow summers and cool autumn nights give birth to grapes of intense and fruity flavours, Oyster Bay began, from the very outset, to produce wines of international stature.

 Nobilo
Steeped in history, Nobilo wines are proudly acclaimed as some of New Zealand's most respected pioneering wine brands
The history of the company in New Zealand goes back to the early 1940's when the Nobilo family landed in New Zealand. They settled in Huapai, West Auckland, situated in the North Island of New Zealand, and started planting vines in 1943. The Nobilo family effectively persuaded and guided the New Zealand wine industry away from hybrid grape varieties and fortified wines, to a higher level of quality wine, now recognised and appraised by all markets.

Established 1851 by the French Marist religious order, Mission Estate are New Zealand's oldest winemaking concern under continuous management. A Mission of French clergy sailed to New Zealand in 1838 with little more than their faith and a few vines. The Society of Mary was founded near Lyon in France. With the blessing of the Pope, a group travelled to the Pacific, arriving in New Zealand in 1838. Besides being a teaching order, the Fathers established a mission station near the Ngaruroro River between Napier and Hastings at Pakowhai. They followed the tradition of running a balanced farm property, fruit trees, cattle, and a vineyard.

 Kumeu River
Kumeu River Wines was established in 1944 when the Brajkovich family settled at Kumeu, 20 km northwest of Auckland City
The family migrated from Yugoslavia in 1938 and had been working in the far Northern part of New Zealand digging kauri gum. After moving to Henderson, in West Auckland, in the early 1940s, they worked on vineyards and orchards in the area and saved enough money to buy a property with a small existing vineyard at Kumeu. Mick Brajkovich died in 1949, but Mat and Kat continued to tend the vines, make the wine and build the reputation of this fledgling wine company that became known as San Marino Vineyards. In 1958 Mat married Melba Sutich from Dargaville, whose antecedents also came from the Dalmatian coast.
 Gunn Estate
Gunn Estate Winery is a family affair that started in 1983 when the first estate vineyards where planted on the banks of the Ngaruroro River at Hawke’s Bay
Since these first plantings Gunn Estate has grown into a highly regarded producer of quality New Zealand wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling and Bordeaux varietals including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. The textured symbol on the Gunn Estate logo represents the Greywacke river gravel and waters of the Ngaruroro river that follow near the estate vineyards, it also symbolises the ‘O’ of Ohiti Valley - home of the Gunn Estate family. ‘From the Heart, from the Home’, captures the essence and philosophy of the Gunn family who have tilled and nurtured the estate vineyards since the mid 1980’s.
 Craggy Range
Terry Peabody and his family searched for ten years to find the place and the people that could fulfil a dream, to make some of the best wine in the world
It was this notion of legacy, to create something greater than the here and now, that led Terry Peabody in 1997 to Steve Smith and the development of Craggy Range. Together they set a plan to buy the best vineyard land, select parcels of grapes grown by the country’s best farmers, and to choose a place for their homes, cellars and country restaurant. Their aim was to make single vineyard wines that are true expressions of the vineyard’s terroir. And an ambition to make the greatest wines in the land. No small goal and one that is not achieved without considerable effort.
