About the Lake Breeze Winery
Lake Breeze is one of Australia's most awarded boutique wineries, achieving an extraordinary level of success in Australian Wine Shows
The Follett family vineyard was established in the 1880's by Arthur John Follett, the great, great grandfather of Greg Follett, the winemaker. The varieties grown on the vineyard include Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Chardonnay, with small blocks of Grenache, Merlot, Petit Verdot and White Frontignac.
More About Lakes Folly Winery
Lake's Folly was the first new vineyard in the Hunter Valley last century, established by Max Lake and his family in 1963 and the first boutique winery in Australia
At the time of its establishment very little premium wine was drunk, there was no capital to invest, and Cabernet was an unproven grape for the area. Its name was almost a foregone conclusion and Lakes Folly was born!
More About Landhaus Winery
John, Barbara and Kane Jaunutis love of the Barossa with its wines, people & lifestyle developed over 30 years of visiting the region
In 2002 they set out to live the dream and passion and bought the Landhaus property with its Vineyard and Cottage built in 1842 by the first Barossa Settlers. It was a tough start as the vineyard was badly distressed and in need of a lot of T.L.C. So the decision was made to cut and drop the grapes from the 02 vintage, so the vines could shut down with happy memories. After a further 12 months work on the vineyards, the vines starting to respond and good bunches forming when disaster stuck, 2 weeks before the 03 vintage with a freak hailstorm and heavy rain which ruined the crop and once again we had to cut and drop the grapes.
More About Lane Vineyard Winery
On a grey morning in July 1941, Reginald William Germein and John Crighton Edwards joined the Royal Australian Airforce. They went to war to protect their beloved country and give their children the opportunity to live, work, play and fulfil their dreams
If old buildings could talk, the hay shed at Lane Vineyard would tell quite a story. It began its days long ago in quiet solitude, the only visitors were a handful of cows and the occasional farmer with his dog. John Edwards searched for two years to find land with the aspect and soils he wanted for his vineyard. When he walked through the old farmgate on Ravenswood Lane, he realised his dream, the land for growing extreme quality fruit for distinguished, complex, sought after wines. In 1993, Edwards established new vines around the hay shed on Ravenswood Lane. From the very first wines produced under the Ravenswood Lane label in 1996, John’s belief in the terroir was rewarded with exceptional wines.

About the Langmeil Winery
In 1836 George Fife Angas, Chairman of The South Australian Company, was approached by the Lutheran people of Silesia, who were fleeing Prussian oppression and seeking a new homeland
He sent his chief clerk, Charles Flaxman, to Prussia and, after a favourable report, chartered two ships to take the migrants from Hamburg. As each ship arrived in Adelaide, the emigrants were dispersed to various settlements in the vicinity. After much negotiation, Pastor August Kavel secured land in the Barossa Valley to congregate the migrants, and in 1842 the village of Langmeil was established.

Lying east/west and enjoying a cool maritime climate, the Wairau River Valley maximises the wonderfully long clear sunny days, which are especially evident during the autumn ripening period
These long hot days are balanced by cooler nights, lengthening the ripening process and in turn, intensifying the flavours in the fruit and subsequently the wine. It is the large difference in diurnal temperatures that is believed to make Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc unlike any other in the world.
More About Leabrook Winery
Leabrook Estate is a family-owned boutique winery located in the cool climate Adelaide Hills at Lobethal in South Australia
Leabrook Estate specialises in high quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and produces wines from a range of other cool climate varieties including Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The story of Leabrook Estate started in 1978 around bottles of Burgundian wines at dinner parties. The wines had great character and delicacy. This was the beginning of Leabrook estate founder Colin Best's love affair with Burgundy and things Burgundian. These wines had an extra dimension of elegance and intensity.
About the Leasingham Winery
The Clare Valley, set in the folds of the Mount Lofty Ranges 140 kilometres north of Adelaide is proud of it's long history of outstanding winemaking
At around 400 metres elevation the Clare Valley is characterised by cool night time temperatures and warm days. In 1893 a group of South Australian entrepreneurs founded The Stanley Wine Company to produce high quality Clare Valley red and white wines. Subsequent generations of wine drinkers and wine judges have applauded their decision and confirmed their hopes.
About the Leconfield Winery
Leconfield was established in 1974 by noted Oenologist, Sydney Hamilton
At the fine age of seventy six, after a winemaking career spanning nearly 60 years with the family company in Adelaide, Sydney still yearned to make a classic Australian Cabernet Sauvignon and set himself the task of finding the right district in which to establish his own vineyard and winery. Showing great foresight, Sydney selected Coonawarra as the area with the potential to fulfil his ambitious dream. Thus Leconfield was born, named after an English ancestor, Lord Leconfield.
More on the Leeuwin Estate Winery
Leeuwin Estate is family owned and operated, one of the founding wineries of the now famous Margaret River district, it consistently produces wines that rank with the worlds finest
In 1972, following an extensive search for the area most suitable to produce the best varietal wines in Australia, legendary American winemaker, Robert Mondavi, identified the future site of the Leeuwin vineyard. Originally a cattle farm, Leeuwin Estate evolved, under the direction of Denis and Tricia Horgan, with Robert Mondavi acting as consultant and mentor. A nursery was planted in 1974 and the initial vineyards were deep-ploughed, deep-ripped, emptied of stone, planned, pegged, measured, marked and eventually planted by hand over a five year period from 1975.
More About Lenton Brae Wines
Bruce and Jeanette Tomlinson established Lenton Brae Estate in 1982, the site of the vineyard being chosen after a chance conversation with Bill Pannell, owner of neighbouring Moss Wood
The Lenton Brae vineyard is in the Wilyabrup sub-region. Wilyabrup was the site chosen for the first vine plantings in 1967 and is acknowledged as the epicenter for superior Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon. The white varieties of Chardonnay, Semillon and Sauvignon also perform well. The best soils in Wilyabrup (and Lenton Brae) are a gravelly loam of a depth 500 – 800mm over a clay base. The varieties selected for planting were Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Pinot Noir was also originally planted but has since been removed to increase the acreage of the preferred Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The name Lenton Brae comes from the chapel district of Lenton in Nottingham, England. It is from here that the first Tomlinson’s migrated to Australia in 1882. Brae is a Scottish term for a small hill, which is what the Wilyabrup vineyard is situated on.

Hermann Paul Leopold Buring was born in South Australia on the 7th October 1876, the son of German immigrants. About Lethbridge Wines
Quality, without compromise, is central to the Lethbridge philosophy. The aim is to produce European accented wines which focus on balance and texture, made to be enjoyed with food
Lethbridge Wines grew from a friendship between Adrian Thomas, Ray Nadeson and Maree Collis. All three were busy establishing careers in science and medicine and shared a love of great wine which grew to be an obsession. Soon the afternoons sipping burgundies were replaced by weekends searching for the perfect vineyard site and then by afternoons digging holes and planting vines. For two of the partners (Maree and Ray) the passion for wine drove them to a sea change, and in 2003 after 7 years of balancing careers in science and running a vineyard and winery, they made Lethbridge Wines their reison d'etre. Maree Collis and Ray Nadeson are not your average winemakers of a boutique winery. Both were initially trained as research scientists and hold PhD degrees in chemistry and medicine, respectively. While combining their scientific careers with winemaking, Maree and Ray completed the winemaking degree at Charles Sturt University.
More on the Lightfoot Sons Winery
About three hours east of Melbourne, the Gippsland Lakes District is located between the Great Dividing Range and Bass Strait, a region that's famed for the large areas of National Park and State Forest, as well as the scenic Gippsland Lakes System
Gippsland as a wine region defies easy classification. It is technically a zone under the Australian GI system, rather than a winegrowing region of its own. The area is large and viticultural areas dispersed, however, throughout all precincts of Gippsland, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the predominate grape varieties. The Bairnsdale sub region has lower annual rainfall than the rest of Gippsland and enjoys coastal climate which provides sea breezes throughout the growing season. Bairnsdale's cool semi maritime climate has proven to be particularly well suited for Pinot Noir and cool climate styles of Chardonnay and Shiraz.

More About Loveblock Wines
Loveblock is a place of clean soils, healthy fauna and abundant flora, pure natural surrounds, sound viticutural practices and of course, great great wine
Back in 2004, Loveblock was a wild piece of land, untamed and hidden from the world. After working in the wine industry for most of their lives, Erica and Kim wondered what they could do with this wildness, how would the unique terroir translate to flavours in wine? Could they make wine that is elegant, restrained and complex? Wine that speaks of its place and season. Here in New Zealand land is precious; the economy largely depends on agriculture. As grape growers and wine farmers, Erica and Kim are custodians of this land. They must take care of it, restore soil balance and fertility without commercial fertilisers and chemical protection. They have learned that the rhythm of the land is immoveable, that we need to submit to it and respect it to get the best from it.

About Lucinda Wines
Lucinda Estate vineyard was established 1990 on an easterly aspect of Leongatha which allows the fruit to gain maximum benefit from the early morning sunshine
Lucinda Vineyard overlooks Knox’s Hill, a benign old volcano, grown to ancient red Ferrosols. The rich fertile volcanic soils, very fertile and high in organic matter, play an important role in the quality and characteristics of fruit. South Gippsland’s cool climate allows for a long ripening period, ideal for the development of complex and flavoursome wines. The enduring philosophy at Lucinda is that You can’t make good wine from bad grapes. It's very important when growing grapes that everything about the viticulture is spot on and reflects the soil, climate and aspect of the vineyard. But it’s the variations in seasons which bring each vintage alive with immense flavours and aromas. No two years are ever the same, Lucinda look forward to the new flavours each vintage brings.
