To make great wine you must have great fruit. Kym Teusner became inspired by the grand old vineyards of the Barossa Valley after taking charge of a venture to salvage ancient sites which had been planted to vines by his grandfather. The old and distinguished Riebke vineyards are located in the northern settlements of Ebenezer, Moppa and Kalimna, but Leon, Steve and Nick Riebke consistently produce some of the finest Shiraz to be found anywhere in the Barossa. After tending their vines for five generations, Riebke have a pretty good handle on their piece of dirt. Post fermentation the individual components are treated to a year's maturation in a selection of prior use French and American oak hogsheads.
