Leasingham retain the pick of crop, treating the precious parcels to a traditional old world style of vinification, an extravagant maturation and meticulous barrel cull, to define the ultimate construct of classic Clare Shiraz.

Classic Clare represents the pinnacle of excellence from the historic Leasingham wineworks, the finest Shiraz of vintage. An illustrious estate with a long history, Leasingham's focus is on crafting the fruit of grand old vineyards into the most splendid wines. Leasingham can rely on the endowments of fully mature vineyards which have been trained for decades. The choicest bunches of Shiraz are assembled, grapes are crushed and vinified on skins in small batch open fermenters for several days. Upon completion, components are transferred to a high proportion of new French oak barrels for malolactic and extended maturation, followed by a further term of bottle ageing under the Leasingham celllars.
