Launched in 1993, Koonunga Hill offers exceptional quality in a fully approachable Chardonnay wine. Koonunga Hill take aim to construct a full flavoured style with distinctive primary fruit characters, sustained intensity and a subtle underlay of moderate oak. Grapes are sourced from choice vineyards which can deliver harvests of Chardonnay that meet the stringent Penfold requirements. Components are matured under French oak for several months, a portion remains unoaked to retain fresh fruit focus.
