Terra Felix was originally launched as the second label to the highly respected Tallarook Wines and grew to become a premium winemaking estate
Using excess grapes from Tallarook and surrounding vineyards, Terra Felix immediately caught the attention of wine reviewers. The initial vintages concentrated on commercial varieties such as Shiraz, Merlot Cabernet and Chardonnay. The problem facing the fledging brand was that there were plenty of these wines available on the market and distribution was a challenge. It was decided that Terra Felix should reposition its offering and concentrate largely on using Northern Rhone grape varieties. And why not? The growing conditions, soil and climate around Tallarook bear an uncanny resemblance to Northern Rhone.

Ten Minutes By Tractor are focused on the highest quality fruit to make wines which are a compelling expression of the Mornington Peninsula
Ten Minutes By Tractor grow Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on all three of their home vineyards, each of which are ten minutes by tractor apart. The McCutcheon, Wallis and Judd vineyards are all within the Main Ridge subregion, one of the coolest and highest parts of the Mornington Peninsula. In addition to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Tempranillo are also grown on the Wallis Vineyard and Sauvignon Blanc on the Judd Vineyard. The team meticulously manage their three vineyards to vertical shoot positioning, leaf plucking, hedging, bunch thinning and harvesting, all of which are done by hand.

TarraWarra Estate is a 400 hectare property on a prime site at the warm eastern end of the Yarra Valley in southern Victoria. The vineyard is planted on a north facing slope at approximately 100 metres elevation, and comprises 12 hectares of Chardonnay and 17 hectares of Pinot Noir, most of which was planted in 1983.

Don Lewis joined Colin Preece for Mitchelton's first vintage in 1973, and assumed the winemaker's mantle in 1974 when Preece retired
After thirty years of leadership at Mitchelton and auspicious winemaking in the Spanish region of Priorat, 150 kilometres south-west of Barcelona, Don Lewis made the decision to pursue the Tar & Roses label, a collaboration with protegee Narelle King. Lewis adores the tannins, structure and distinct expressiveness of Spanish wines. Grapes are from vines grown to elite Heathcote vineyards, much of which must be hand picked, all components are treated separately during their fermentation and maturation. The larger volume of shiraz comes from richer Cambrian soils, while the smaller parcel is grown to much tougher grantic soils.

The rebirth of Taltarni Vineyards in 1972 was something of a renaissance for the Pyrenees, a winegrowing region that had slipped into a nadir after a vticultural history which dates back to the mid nineteenth century. Today, the Taltarni Estate's fundamental philosophy is to produce distinctive, well-balanced premium varietal wines with recognizable regionality and estate styling.
About the Tallarook Winery
Tallarook is situated on an elevated yet protected site, among rugged hills on the northern slopes of Central Victoria's Great Dividing Range
The original Tallarook Vineyards form part of a property named Dabyminga. Established first in the 1980s and purchased in 1992 by the Riebl family, these vineyards and the wines produced under the Tallarook label represent a pioneering effort for the Tallarook district. The land was once part of the territories of the Goulburn Aboriginal tribes. Before white settlement, it was one of the most densely populated areas in Australia. Dabyminga derives from "Ab'minga" (snaketracks) in the language of the Natramboolok tribe. In the same language, Tallarook means "call of the wattlebird".

After studying at Roseworthy Agricultural College Rob began making wine in the Hunter Valley with Arrowfield and Rothbury Estate. In 1991 Rob became winemaker at Yarra Ridge. Here, the opportunity of operating a small winery gave him the freedom to experiment, helping him to hone his winemaking skills.

Brett Barnes is the viticulturalist and Liz Barnes is the winemaker. Rick Kinzbrunner from Giaconda Winery has assisted Liz in the making of the wine since the establishment of the winery commencing with the 2005 vintage. Rick has kindly imparted wisdom and knowledge along with a few trade secrets to help create Star Lane’s wines into wines with elegance, finesse and distinction. The fruit is all estate grown. Merlot and Shiraz are planted on red loam over mudstone soils. There is also a planting of Sangiovese and Nebbiolo on granite soil at partners Kate and Rex Lucas’s place just a couple of kilometres away. The vineyards are slightly sloping with views stretching across the hills that encircle them in the valley to which they are planted.

In 1864 together with his son John Lewis Stanton, Timothy purchased land at Rutherglen in North East Victoria immediately establishing a farm and vineyard. By 1875 the Stantons were well established as successful Rutherglen vignerons. Timothy's grandson John Richard Stanton continued to improve and expand the business and by the 1920s had established the magnificent Park View vineyard and winery.

Sorrenberg is a 2.5 hectare vineyard which is owned by Barry and Jan Morey and situated on the outskirts of Beechworth
The Morey family has a tradition of winemaking that goes back over 500 years to the Mosel River in Germany. Barry's grandfather, Jacob Barzen, emigrated to Australia to work on a family vineyard and winery at Dookie. This vineyard has since been sold and converted back to grazing land. The name Sorrenberg comes from a small vineyard owned by the Barzen family near a town called Reil on the Mosel.

Sir Paz Estate was established by the Zapris family in 1997 at Silvan, a picturesque wine producing town of the Yarra Valley, also noted for its market gardening farms
The Yarra Valley has a rich and romantic history as a wine producing region, extending back to 1838 when the first vines were planted by Swiss settlers. By the turn of the century, some 800 acres of prime land had been planted with vines, and the region quickly developed a reputation for producing excellent table wines. Over time, the demand for fashionable fortified wines such as muscat and port increased. This resulted in many winemakers abandoning their vines, unable to earn a living from their produce. By the early part of the 20th century most vineyards in the Yarra Valley had ceased operating. With the resurgence of interest in wine in the late 1960s and early 70s, more and more vineyards were established in the area with growers planting Shiraz, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties.

Ross Shelmerdine OBE CMG (1921 – 1979) was one of the original three fathers of Victoria's Mitchelton winery, along with architect Robin Boyd and legendary winemaker Colin Preece
An innovative and visionary restaurateur, Ross saw the whole wine and tourism scene set to explode. In 1968 Ross gave his friend Colin Preece a free hand to identify the location for his great dream. In 1969, the first vines were planted on the Blackwood Park property at Mitchellstown near Nagambie, on the very site where Major Thomas Mitchell and his Australian Felix expedition had crossed the Goulburn River in 1836, opening the Victorian hinterland for pastoral settlement.

The heart of Seppeltsfield is the unique collection of fortified wines slowly maturing in oak barrels, and dating back in an unbroken line to 1878. The Scorpo family vineyard in Merricks North on the Mornington Peninsula, combines old world practices with new world flavours. Scorpo Wines combines the family heritage with expertise in growing premium grapes, meticulous attention to site selection, and a best practice approach to vineyard management and processes, trusting the old axiom that great fruit makes great wine. After extensively researching the Mornington Peninsula’s cool, maritime microclimates, Scorpo knew this area was the perfect place for our project. Driving through the ridge systems on the Peninsula one day in 1996, they happened upon a For Sale sign on a parcel of a defunct cherry and apple orchard originally planted in the 1900s, nestled in the rolling hills, halfway between Port Phillip Bay and Westernport. Amongst, the pine trees, abandoned stables, machinery sheds and Welsh ponies, they could see the untapped potential of this site.
