More About Irrewarra Wines
Irrewarra vineyard is located in the heart of the Victorian western agricultural districts, approximately 150 kilometers southwest of Melbourne. Think dairy, beef, sheep, wheat, hay and forestry production
Nick and Gary Farr are father and son winemakers. They stand side by side but aren’t afraid to go head to head when their opinions differ. Each generation has developed a distinctive winemaking style based on his individual experience and taste. Their respective lines, By Farr and Farr Rising, have received critical acclaim both in Australia and overseas. Nick Farr readily acknowledges the influence of his father in his winemaking and viticultural practices. These have been significantly enhanced by his own vast experience. While he was growing up, Nick worked alongside his father on the family estate and at some of the world's most illustrious domaines.

About Hoddles Creek Winery
New ventures in the Yarra Valley make their mark -James Halliday

The vineyard sits astride Gembrook road and adjacent Hoddles Creek. It's steeply sloping blocks prohibit mechanical harvesting, with both vineyards being hand pruned and harvested. Hoddles Creek Estate is planted with 10ha of pinot noir (five clones), 6 ha of chardonnay, 1ha each of sauvignon blanc, merlot and cabernet sauvignon, and 1.5ha of pinot gris.
More About Heathcote Winery Wines
Heathcote Winery was one of the first commercial wineries in Heathcote
Uniquely positioned along Heathcote's main street, Heathcote Winery holds a surprise for many of its visitors. Few could ever expect to find a fully functioning winery directly behind a Cellar Door. The estate wineworks and adjacent art gallery are sited within the restored produce store built by Thomas Craven in 1854 to cater for the huge influx of gold miners seeking their fortune. Thomas Craven sold wine and spirits, and traded in gold. An entrepreneurial type, he also ran a coach service (depicted in the logo) from stables behind the Cellar Door, delivering supplies and mail around Central Victoria, hence the significance of the estate's Mail Coach range.
About Heathcote Estate Winery
Heathcote Estate was established exclusively for the production of one wine a single vineyard Shiraz
During the 1850s, Heathcote was the scene of fevered activity as an important gold field town and today Heathcote is best known for producing another rich and prized gem, Heathcote Shiraz. The rich red Cambrian soil and dry mild climate provide the idyllic foundation for producing world class Shiraz and are indeed the reason why Heathcote is considered one of Australia's pre-eminent regions for our most noted variety.
More About Hardys Winery
Thomas Hardy left Devon in 1850 at the age of 20 and migrated to the new colony of South Australia
He established a winery on the banks of Adelaide's River Torrens in 1853. His Bankside winery was the start of an outstanding family wine business that grew to become one of the world's great wine companies. Thomas Hardy was a self-made man, a pioneer of immense character. With a mixture of energy, determination, shrewd judgment, innovation and a touch of daring, he pursued the highest standards in winemaking. At Bankside, and later at his McLaren Vale property Tintara, he focused on quality and craftsmanship. Tintara was to become the centre of Hardy's enterprise and by the late 1800s was one of the best-equipped and managed wineries in Australia. This success was substantially due to Hardy's initiatives in planting higher quality, lower yielding varieties rather than the coarser, heavier-yielding types more common at the time. His willingness to experiment with and to use novel equipment, much of which he designed and built himself, also contributed to this success.

About Hanging Rock Winery
All his time spent working as a drink waiter and cellar manager while failing veterinary science, must have made an impression on John Ellis
Ellis graduated as Dux of his winemaking course from Roseworthy College in 1971 and began his illustrious winemaking career at Krondorf and Yalumba wineries. In 1974 John went to the Hunter Valley to become the foundation winemaker at the newly established Rosemount Estate. Within two years John had put Rosemount Estate on the map internationally and made a name for himself as one of the young Turks of the industry. The next move came in 1978 when John, with his wife Ann Tyrrell, went to Echuca on the Murray River in Victoria, to help establish the Tisdall Winery. Tisdall quickly became a high profile and successful brand in the seventies and early eighties, enjoying something of a cult following.

About Halls Gap Estate Winery
Halls Gap Vineyard was planted on the steep eastern slopes of the Grampians Ranges in 1969
Halls Gap Estate represented part of the second coming of the Victorian wine industry, which had seen very little new plantings since the turn of the century. The region had always had a pedigree for great wines with the first vineyards in Grampians being planted at Bests & Seppelts, in the early 1860s. The Halls Gap property had long been a respected grower for many of the country’s great wineries, Seppelts and Penfolds, until 1996, when it was bought by the famed Victorian winemaker, the late, great Trevor Mast. It remained a staple of Mount Langi Ghiran until acquisition by Aaron Drummond of Circe Wines in 2013.
About Greenstone Winery
The initial excitement of three wine enthusiasts upon discovering Greenstone Vineyard remains undiminished, vindicated by the quality of wines to come off the precious site
Alberto Antonini and David Gleave have known each other since meeting in Montalcino in 1989. Both make their living from Italian wine - Alberto as a winemaker, consultant and grapegrower, David as the UK importer of some of Italy's top producers - yet they have often discussed over the years the great allure of Australia and Australian wine. The styles of wine, and the freedom to plant and develop whatever variety you believe is going to work in your piece of land, is of great appeal to them both. So when Mark Walpole took Alberto Antonini, whom he knew through their shared interest in Italian grape varieties in Australia, to visit the Greenstone site, Alberto wasted no time in ringing David in London. Alberto was struck by the quality of the soil and site. “I’m standing on a hill in Heathcote that would make a great vineyard,” he said to David. That was all it took to set the Greenstone Vineyard in motion.

About the Gracebrook Winery
The Gracebrook brand has evolved from the passion David and Rhonda Maples have for the land and what it has to offer
David and Rhonda acquired very early in life the horticultural skills that would later become invaluable when applied to the vineyards of Gracebrook. Both being from farming backgrounds, Rhonda's parents owned and operated a dairy farm here in the King Valley, across the road from what is now their home farm. During Rhonda's holidays and weekends she would work in the local vineyards, either handpicking fruit or pruning vines. David's parents also owned and ran dairy farms as well as growing beef cattle, pigs and later on growing tobacco on a small farm located at Edi. This is when David left school and started farming with his parents.
More About Golden Ball Winery
Mr Isaac Phillips named his grant of 1900 acres, Golden Ball in 1857, after his favourite London hotel
The Golden Ball estate vineyards and wineworks are located in northeast Victoria within the Geographical Wine Indication of Beechworth. Presently, now 53 acres, the property purchased in 1996 by James McLaurin, consisting of the 1996 Original Vineyard and in 2005 the Lineage Vineyard. A monopole property, all wines are entirely grown, vinified and bottled on the property. No insecticides, hand pruned and shoot thinning The vineyard is drip irrigated just prior to verasion, with a dry spring however, this may commence slightly earlier. Watering is very limited to keep small berry size carrying most of the fruit through to slow vigour. Verasion sees some definite bunch thinning to balance ripening ability.

More on the Giant Steps Winery
The Giant Steps winemakers are directing their winemaking towards single vineyards in locations that can support varietals of distinction
Great wine is made in the vineyard. At its best it is like a fingerprint, inextricably linking the personality and mood of the land from which it has sprung.
About Garden Gully Winery
Garden Gully is built on the original Salinger's Hockheim winery site which originated in the 1870's and operated as such until 1945
The vineyard produces a limited range of premium wines sourced from the property's old vines and as well as younger plantings. The Shiraz is sensational and the Sparkling Shiraz takes all of us back to those halcyon days of the Great Western Region. The Garden Gully's vignerons are still trying to reshape the grand old vines and repair some of the damage caused by several years of neglect. The strategy is to prune the vineyard as late as possible to minimize the frost risk. Despite the frost and the very small crop at Garden Gully, the vines need frequent watering to maintain vine health.

More About Fowles Wines
Fowles were the first Victorian winery ever to win Great Australian Shiraz Challenge trophy for the finest Shiraz in the land
The Fowles family remain very much at home amongst the rugged Strathbogie Ranges, their wineworks were established astride a striking granite massif that rises to over five hundred metres above sea level. They are surrounded by a multitude of dramatic granite outcrops that burst from the surface of these ancient highlands. The region provide great conditions in which to grow fruit: In the coolness of spring the vines produce only small berries and the ensuing low rainfall and the intense summer sun gives rise to a fruit that is dense in colour and flavour. Energetic and enterprising, they continue to break new ground by bringing the Strathbogie Ranges message in a bottle to the world.

More About Euroa Creeks Wines
Euroa Creeks is a single vineyard winemaking operation in the warmer Goulburn Valley region of Victoria
Winemaker David Lloyd of Mornington's Eldridge Estate is well known for his obsession with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but few knew of his passion for rich, ripe shiraz. In 2002 Lloyd found a vineyard in Victoria's Goulburn Valley that was small, and hand tended, producing nothing but sensational Shiraz fruit. Lloyd selected the Euroa Creeks purely on the basis of quality of the vineyard's fruit. The site is owner operated by Jo and Andrew Gall and is located a little east of the township of Euroa about 5km north of the Hume Highway. Tasting the grower's own Lilys Garden Shiraz, Lloyd knew there was a sensational wine waiting to be made. The result was 300 cases of Euroa Creeks 2002 Shiraz, bottled on 6 December 2003.
