Whilst the story of Moet Chandon dates back to the middle ages, it was not until an association with the Emperor Napoleon that Jean-Remy Moët became the most famous winemaker in the world. The wines assembled into Moët Ice Imperial have been meticulously appointed. A cepage of half Pinot Noir, winey and angular, is selected for its intense fruitiness and structure, which integrates the dosage. A slightly smaller component of Pinot Meunier is chosen for its full and fleshy, rich, melting sensation on the mid-palate. A tenth of Chardonnay is included for a refreshing finish. A large proportion of reserve wines enhance the assemblage to complete its elegance, richness and intensity.
