By the most accomplished maker of satisfying and accessible white wines. Wolf Blass drinks beautifully as a refreshing aperitif style, it also matches traditional white wine faire perfectly. A lightly oaked Chardonnay wine with a forward drinking palate of healthy, crisp and clean fruit. Creamy with a touch of oak, endowed by varietal citrus, stonefruits and cashew, the Chardonnay of choice, to be enjoyed lightly chilled in its youth.
Wolf Blass take aim at formulating a splendid, everyday drinking Chardonnay wine that's long on fruit and has the substance to be called upon for any occasion. Vineyards are monitored closely throughout the growing season, vintage is determined at the precise moment that fruit achieves full physiological ripeness with the highest concentration of varietal flavours. Grapes are harvested throughout the cool of night to preserve crisp flavours and crunchy acids. Following a gentle pressing, parcels are cold settled into controlled fermenters. Portions are treated to malolactic, a component is matured under a mix of fine grained French oaks to soften the wine and derive added complexity. Alcohol 13.0%
TASTING NOTES
Pale straw with green hue. The nose exhibits fresh citrus and melon characters over a background of well integrated oak. Soft and approachable palate with generous peach and grapefruit flavours, the gentle fruit is supported by fine acid structure and creamy barrel treatments, finishing clean with generous length. Enjoy Red Label with a grilled trout/ macadamia/ bocconcini salad.

About Wolf Blass Winery
The Wolf Blass winery is located at the epicentre of the Australian wine industry, the Barossa Valley and has produced some of Australia's finest wines since 1966
Wolf Blass Wines International was born in 1973 when Wolf started his own business, purchasing a 2.5 acre land holding with an old army shed outside Nuriootpa, at the northern end of the Barossa Valley. John Glaetzer joined the company and from 1974-1976 Wolf Blass Wines won three consecutive Jimmy Watson Trophies, the Black Label generated substantial publicity and hype. From this time onwards growth was impressive with Wolf Blass Yellow Label and Riesling becoming Australia's top selling red and white wine. Wolf Blass»
