Designed to be early drinking and refreshing, in a clean unwooded styling, Red Label defines the consistency of quality for which Wolf Blass is renowned. Crisp and refreshing with the tantalizing melon, stonefruit and mango flavours of fine Chardonnay, the absence of any oak allows the unadulterated varietal characters to shine through, fresh and lively with good weight of fruit and excellent length of palate.
Careful canopy management, including light summer pruning, means the grapes are evenly exposed to sunlight, the absence of oak in the finished wine allows the carefully preserved flavours of the fruit to shine through. The fruity flavours are balanced by the clean acidity and good length of the wine. The grapes are night harvested to preserve fresh fruit flavours and natural acid levels. Grapes are pressed and cold settled before being racked off lees into temperature controlled fermenters. A chilled vinification is then initiated with select yeasts. Upon completion, Red Label is treated to an early bottling for the preservation of youthful flavours in the finished wine.
TASTING NOTES
Light straw with pale green hues. Tropical summer fruit aromas of mango, melon and peach drift up to the nose. A lively varietal palate, offering great length of clean, ripe and flavoursome fruit flavours. Drink now to appreciate what Chardonnay really tastes like, alongside smoked salmon tagliatelle or prawn pizza.

About Wolf Blass Winery
The Wolf Blass winery is located at the epicentre of the Australian wine industry, the Barossa Valley and has produced some of Australia's finest wines since 1966
Wolf Blass Wines International was born in 1973 when Wolf started his own business, purchasing a 2.5 acre land holding with an old army shed outside Nuriootpa, at the northern end of the Barossa Valley. John Glaetzer joined the company and from 1974-1976 Wolf Blass Wines won three consecutive Jimmy Watson Trophies, the Black Label generated substantial publicity and hype. From this time onwards growth was impressive with Wolf Blass Yellow Label and Riesling becoming Australia's top selling red and white wine. Wolf Blass»
