Early Harvest are crafted from the first pick of season, into a new and refreshing style that's lower in calories and alcohol than other dry whites. Planning of the vineyards and selection of clonal types are key to achieving such a wine. Specialized sites along the Murray Darling deliver the requisite quality that's essential for Early Harvest. Early picked grapes contribute impressive acid structure to support the fruit driven character, enhancing the crisp flavours in this highly appealing, modest alcohol, low kilojoule wine.
Early Harvest means harvesting earlier in the season, for grapes containing lower levels of sugar. An earlier vintage translates into refreshing wines that are perfect for all occasions. Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc must display lifted ripe fruit characters, moderate sugar levels and a crisp acid backbone. The grapes are crushed and pressed into fermenters to capture the fresh flavours during the cool vinification process. Fewer solids are used to achieve a bright, crisp fruit driven dry white that's low in carbohydrates yet full bodied and complex. Upon completion, components are stabilised and promptly bottled to ensure that the fresh varietal characters are retained. Alcohol 8.5%
TASTING NOTES
Pale yellow, lime hues. An enticing nose of passionfruit, lemongrass and melon aromas. The slatey fruit characters of Semillon, cut grass and lychee flavours of Sauvignon Blanc, are balanced by the crisp dry finish, providing an easy drinking style of wine. Perfect with Al fresco dining, the casual weekday lunch or extended long weekend barbeque, best enjoyed now to appreciate the bright, fresh flavours of early picked fruit.

More About Lindemans Wines
Lindemans promise more than the partnering of quality grapes and craftsmanship. Every wine contains the spirit and passion of founder Dr Henry J Lindeman
A graduate of London’s famous St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, Henry Lindeman discovered winemaking while travelling through Europe in the late 1830s. Fascinated by wine’s medicinal benefits, he devoted much of his time to learning the skilful craft. In 1840, he returned to England to marry Eliza Bramhall and within weeks, the couple embarked on a four-month voyage to start a new life in the Australian colonies. Lindemans»
