The famous red Coonawarra soils infuse grapes with evocative characters and impart distinctive richness into the wines. Rymill Brut is exclusively Coonawarra, a mostly Chardonnay sparkler with inclusions of Pinot Noir and Meuniere, crafted to true Methode traditionelle, lined with beautiful textures, brimming with opulent aromas and layered with an intensity of flavour. A superb aperitif on its own and a delight alongside fine hors de oeuvres, Rymill Coonawarra stands out as a Brut wine for its effortless exuberance and engaging complexity.
Rymill wineworks were established 1974 but the heritage goes back to the founding of Coonawarra as a fruit colony in 1890. The distinguished and enduring estate vines are treated to a naturally organic, chemical free husbandry, for a quality of wine which speaks for itself. Rymill's auspiciously slow ripening vineyards may be essential to the famous Coonawarra Cabernet, they are also well disposed to yield harvests of Chardonnay, Pinot and Meuniere for the realization of richly flavoured sparkling wines with regional identity and a real sense of place. The traditional old world practice of fermenting in own bottle achieves beautiful texture, creates a delicate bead and contributes to the luxurious mouthfeel.
TASTING NOTES
Pale straw hue with a copper tinge. Beautifully perfumed with complex aromas of white roses, sweet hazelnut and red delicious apples over a vibrant background of fresh cut limes and zesty lemon. Fresh, crisp flavours of citrus fruits and apples linger at the finish alongside notes of pear and freshly baked brioche.

More About Rymill Wines
The Rymill winery, steeped in history, is situated within The Riddoch Run Vineyards at the northern end of the famous Terra Rossa strip
Coonawarra patriarch John Riddoch struck gold at the Ovens Valley goldfields in 1852, before establishing himself as a wholesale wine and general merchant in Geelong. He eventually settled near Penola, at shearing time in 1861. The Riddoch Run eventually expanded to 50,000ha, carrying 110,000 sheep and 3,000 cattle, and extended from Comaum in the north to Mt Gambier Airport in the south. During his subsequent four decades of community service Riddoch was Chairman of the Penola District Council for 25 years, and also the local Member of Parliament from 1865 to 1873, obtaining roads and education for the region. The Riddoch Highway and Mt Gambier's Riddoch Art Gallery currently commemorate his name. Rymill»
