Sandalford are one of the nation's elder winemaking estates, with a tradition which dates back to the 1840s. The Element range is styled for modern palates, an assemblage of Verdelho and Chenin Blanc, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, much from the Swan Valley, an area that's well suited to aromatic white grapes. The main influences are the warm, dry summers and revitalizing maritime winds from the Indian Ocean. West Australian sunshine in a bottle, the wine of choice to accompany salt & pepper squid or freshly tossed caesar.
Aromatic white grapes grow very well in the warmer climes which prevail in the Swan Valley and maritime climes of Margaret River. Given the balmy growing conditions, grapes can be picked a little greener than they normally would, translating into a grassier and more herbaceous edge to the wine, with a somewhat fresher and crisper mouthfeel, than would exist if the crop was left to ripen until full maturity. Grapes are harvested throughout the cool of night, immediately processed and treated to a long, slow vinification in fermenters at cooler temperatures, through the action of select strains of yeast. Upon completion, components are assembled and stabilised, filtered and bottled whilst vibrant, young and fresh.
TASTING NOTES
Pale lemon colour with a lime tint. Fresh lifted nose, rich in tropical fruits, particularly guava, pineapples and passionfruit, honeysuckle hints. A crisp, dry white fruit palate, clean and balanced with crisp acidity, before a soft cleansing finish. A drink now wine, to be served well chilled whilst young and alive, on its own or with the freshest faire.

About the Sandalford Winery
The historic Sandalford Wines is located in the heart of the Swan Valley on the banks of the beautiful Swan River, a short 25- minutes drive from the city of Perth
Western Australia's first Surveyor General, John Septimus Roe founded the 40 hectare Estate in 1840, which now includes 22 hectares under vine as well as housing the Winery, hospitality and tourism facilities and administration. He named the property Sandalford after the priory in Berkshire where his father was rector. The Estate formed part of the second land title in all of Western Australia. Today's Sandalford, located on the original property, is one of Western Australia's oldest and largest privately owned wineries. Sandalford»
