Outstanding Langtons Classification. From vines averaging sixty years of age, a monopole that has gone from strength to strength, ever since the qabal of distinguished Barossa growers resolved to establish their own label. Previous vintages have won numerous awards and medals on the wine show circuits in Australia and overseas, reiterating E&E's legendary status with the large number of international devotees. At every stage of vinification there is uncompromising attention to detail.
Fruit is sourced from choice vineyards managed by dedicated Barossa growers, grapes are selected on the basis of exceptional quality and concentration of flavour. The close relationship between winemaker and vineyard manager ensures that E&E will continue to build on its reputation as the eminent Barossa Shiraz. Back at the winery, grapes are gently pressed to extract richness without harsh tannins, to be matured in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak barriques for eighteen months. Maximum flavour retention and complexity have been achieved through meticulous attention to detail allowing each individual vineyards characters to show through. Alcohol 15.0%
TASTING NOTES
Deep, dark red in colour. The bouquet is a nose grabber, it intrigues and preoccupies with intense lifted aromas of ripe cherry and plum, spice and pepper with subtle chocolate/ coffee overtones. Lifted aromas of cherry blossom, dark chocolate, espresso and ripe blackberries. Integrated into these aromas are spicy oak characters. The palate highlights the E&E style, rich and full bodied, exhibiting great finesse before a long elegant finish.

More About Barossa Valley Estate Winery
Barossa Valley Estate was established in 1985 by a group of independent growers who saw an opportunity to add value to their harvest.
The Winery was initially established as a co-operative with the objective of making and marketing premium bottled wine. The Barossa Valley Estate grape growers and the winemaker have a very close relationship due to this structure and the synergy that has developed is evident in the richness and depth of flavours in the wine.
