Sandalford's award winning offerings reflect contemporary lifestyles, always fashioned with today's tastes and trends in mind. Element reveals fully why Chardonnay has found a wonderful new home within the blamy maritime terroirs of the Australian west coast. The nose is reminiscent of stonefruits and citrus, the palate offers ripe peach and melon characters, a mouth filling creamy texture and fine, refreshing finish.
Sandalford has made wines for over a hundred and fifty years, changing their style and vinification in many ways. Sandalford is also Western Australia's first winemaking operation to utilise an artificial wetland concept for the treatment of all the winery's liquid wastes. Fruit is harvested throughout the cool of the night, destemmed, crushed and chilled to 10C en route to the tank press. The free run and pressings are immediately processed, inoculated by a number of select strains of yeast and treated to a long, slow vinification. Upon completion, batches are held sur lies for three months prior to the assemblage, stabilisation and filtration. Alcohol 11.9%
TASTING NOTES
Pale straw hues. A fine nose of classic peachy and white stone fruit aromas. A lovely medium bodied wine with barley ripe flavours ensuring a hint of herbaceousness and good acid which have been the hallmarks of this wine for years. A persistence of lemon citrus, good depth of fruit and a zippy freshness, the finish is crisp, dry and beautifully balanced. Element is a wine to drink now, serve cool alongside any cuisine.

More About Sandalford Winery
The historic Sandalford Wines is located in the heart of the Swan Valley on the banks of the beautiful Swan River, a short 25- minutes drive from the city of Perth
Western Australia's first Surveyor General, John Septimus Roe founded the 40 hectare Estate in 1840, which now includes 22 hectares under vine as well as housing the Winery, hospitality and tourism facilities and administration. He named the property Sandalford after the priory in Berkshire where his father was rector. The Estate formed part of the second land title in all of Western Australia. Today's Sandalford, located on the original property, is one of Western Australia's oldest and largest privately owned wineries. Sandalford»
