The Dugat family enjoy a peerless reputation for viticulture in Gevrey-Chambertin which dates back to the seventeenth century. A relatively new label in its own right, the prestige of their marque is the result of an uncompromising pursuit of excellence, good old fashioned viticulture and attention to detail from veraison to the final bottling. Vieilles Vignes is picked off an inventory of younger estate blocks, albeit up to fifty or more years of age, treated to a minimalist vinification and extended term of maturation in an indulgement of the finest new oak casks.
