Hill of Grace requires little elaboration internationally as one of the new world's great wines. A warm growing season for vintage 1991, as indeed, it was across all growing regions. Dry summer and above average temperatures towards the harvest, which arrived early to slightly reduced yields. Growing season 1991 produced a Hill of Grace which was reportedly more restrained and classically structured upon release, with the tell tale rich tannins and fruit concentration to develop mightily. Partial barrel fermentation in a combination of new American and French oak higsheads, followed by eighteen months maturation for complexity, integrity and seamlessness. Alcohol 14.1%
