Yarra Ridge is a culmination of the devoted efforts from a highly skilled winemaking team as applied to the fruits of the Yarra Valley's best growers. Shiraz is sourced from vineyards situated on warmer aspects near the Valley floor. The steady, even ripening of grapes encourages development of good flavours and ripe tannins. The individual vineyard parcels were inoculated and vinified in a range of fermenting vessels to enhance the different flavour and tannin profiles. The wines were pressed off skins and racked into a combination of fine grained oaks for ten months maturation. Prior to assembling, the individual barrels are assessed with a view to achieving balance and integration in the final wine.
